3 Questions for Finding Your Purpose

Are you searching for your purpose in life but still haven’t found it yet? I’d like to help you find your purpose so you can excel and focus on what matters the most to you. Everyone has there own purpose, you have to search within and bring out that unique purpose that drives you! For some of us this is easy to figure out because we’re born with naturally gifted talents and skills. It’s your job to find these skills and talents so you can refine them and improve upon them.

There are several questions you must ask yourself to determine what your unique purpose is. Once you answer the following questions, you’ll have a good starting point in determining what your purpose may be, which will set you on the right track to feeling fulfilled.

1. What do you love to do?

Is there something you absolutely love doing that you’d never get tired of? Make a list of the top 3 things that you enjoy doing. Also think about what comes easy to you and make another list of 3 items. Do any of the things you love doing match up with what you’re exceptionally good at? Loving and being good at something can be a blessing. I know plenty of people that are talented at things that hate doing them. It is unfulfilling to be good at something but not enjoy doing it.

2. What moments have brought the greatest joy in your life?

Everyone can recall a handful of memories that have brought them the most joy in their lives. Add 3 things you can think of to your list. Ever sense I was a kid I always loved putting things together in a detailed manor. During my hockey career as a goalie, I’d love working towards achieving shutouts, not allowing the opposition to score on me. It brought me a lot of joy to be able to not allow goals against from the other team. I was not always successful in every game achieving the goal of a shutout but it was the pursuit that gave me the most joy.

3. What drives and energizes you?

You’ll find that there are certain things that drive you. Maybe you find that you do these things first because they’re a priority to you. What are these tasks that drive you? Do the things that drive you and infuse energy into you. The two things that drive me the most is helping people achieve financial success and growing my multifamily apartment portfolio.

What’s Next?

At this point you should be able to refer to your list and see some of the similarities from what you love, what you’re good at, what provides you with the most joy and what drives and energizes you. Once you narrow down your list to the ultimate item, that is your passion. Start creating goals around your passion to create a fulfilling life.
