How To Get Through A Bad Day

Having a bad day happens to everyone. Every once in a while it happens and you need to find ways to be resilient. You need to continue pushing strong throughout the day. It can be difficult but you can’t stop, you have to keep going! Push yourself and breakthrough your bad day.

Bad Day? Don’t Give Up

When you’re feeling down, don’t give up. You can admit your production will be lower today, but if you continue getting things done, you will still honor your persistence, dedication and hard work ethic. All you can do in this situation is continue chipping away at what you need to get done.

Feeling like you’re not on top of your game is normal. It happens to the best of us. Focus on being positive and saying things like, “I can do this”, “This will be easy”, “I’ve accomplished X task, lets accomplish Y task” and many other positive phrases that can give your brain a boost. Positivity is important for increasing your production.

Keep Distractions To A Minimum

Reduce the number of distractions you have during the day. The more you’re around social media, the more down you’ll feel. Stay focused on yourself so you can repair from your bad day and turn it into a good one. You control the way you feel through your mindset. The better your mindset is the better you will handle tough situations.

Do you exercise? If not, you should. Exercise releases endorphins in your brain that help improve your mood. I exercise at least 3 times a week to stay in shape, build muscle and feel happier. Without exercise, I’d be weaker, out of shape, have frequent bad days, and have less energy.

Things may not be going your way but that’s not an excuse for anything. Forget about what’s going bad and move on to the next thing. There is no benefit in dwelling about how things resulted the way they did. Use it as a learning experience and/or move on. Every minute you spend dwelling takes away from your future potential. Many people get caught up dwelling on things and then lose out on their potential, which results in hurting themselves.

Ask Yourself

At the end of the day ask yourself these questions… Was I focused on positivity? Did I stop dwelling and move on? Was I on social media for a shorter period of time and stayed focused on the next task? Did I exercise today? Asking yourself the right questions will kickstart your day into a great one!
